A blog for my photography, my life, and my interests.
From Peter Anderson:
So I bought a 140 acre gold mining claim in California’s Siskiyou Mountains on Ebay for $3,000 because it said it had 5 cabins on it, then conned some friends into buying in to the operation, all site unseen. This is the best of the cabins, has a sign on the front that says “Cadillac Bill’s mininin’ [sic] shack. Inside is full of the detritus of Bill’s (most likely unsuccessful) life as a miner. And rats. Not exactly the dream cabin I had in mind, but a great thing to camp next to…and it has a super useful outhouse.
WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH! I need to start looking for stuff like this on ebay.
I need to do this as soon as possible. This place is dragging me down.
